Impromtu Play Date

Last Saturday Kathryn and her family stopped by while taking a walk in the neighborhood. The girls ended up playing in Viv's room.
They had a great time.

First Zoo Trip 2010

Last Sasturday we had temperatures in the 70s so we took Viv to the Zoo.

Happy Belated Birthday

Last week J and I celebrated our birthdays.
Viv was happy to celebrate our "happy happy" day(s) by eating cake.

The Big Reveal and Big Night

No, not the kitchen! Viv's Big Girl Room. We sent Viv to mom-mom and pop-pop's house for the weekend and we worked all weekend to finish the room.
The room still needs some window treatments and other finishing touches, but mostly its finished.

Viv came home last night and was very excited to find her owl pillow and lamp.

Viv was a trooper. She (along with all her stuffed animals) slept in her bed all night.

Kitchen Remodel Update

All of the base cabinets and most of the wall cabinets are installed.
Today the counter top installers come to make the counter top template.

Counter top installation is scheduled for March 17th.

Other than counter tops and backsplash only a few details remain. We should have a (mostly) complete kitchen two weeks from today. Finally, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Kitchen and Hall Construction Update

We've neglected to show you the progress in the kitchen. Here is a picture from this morning. New tile is installed, one window is gone, one window replaced, and drywall up.

A Happy Happy School Day

Even though school was cancelled on Viv's birthday due to snow, her teachers requested that we bring a camera (and treats!) so the class could celebrate Viv's "happy happy" day. That's what Viv calls a birthday - happy happy.

I'll Have Some Salad With My Olives

Viv loves to help with making the dinner salad.
The only problem is that the black olives don't make it into the salad. Look carefully at Viv's finger tips.
